I remember being at my lowest, wondering why I was put in this world, why God would allow me to go through everything I was going through. I remember saying,

I knew this phase of my life wasn't going to be easy, but I also knew that the phase I had just gone through was one I never wanted to experience again. I wanted so badly to step into the version of me I knew I could become...

Through out this journey I came to innerstand the true meaning of self love. I learned the power of loving yourself beyond your shadows. This journey teaches you to forgive yourself for not knowing any better, and accepting that everything happened for your soul's evolution.

I had to be realistic with myself, so often I would say I'll just do it differently tomorrow and procrastinate on the changes I needed to make until I realized that I needed a support system. The truth is that I needed professionals, I needed guidance on how to get to out of this hole. I was so tired of drowning but I had never been a quitter.

Today I'm still healing certain aspects of myself but I'm no longer drowning. I'm surrounded by people who see me for who I am and released toxic connections. Healing has given me the strength and the confidence to refuse anything/anyone that no longer resonates with who I am.
